China Pulp & Paper Industry, 2010Co-Authors: Y U ZhangshAbstract:The transformation conditions of the head box and wire part of a 4500 Fourdrinier paper machine were mainly introduced. The speed increased from 280~320m/min to 800~830m/min with the paper output raised from 130~150t/d to 350~380t/d. The main physical index of producing paper products was improved obviously. The consumption of electricity, coal, pulp and water were decreased. The structure of Fourdrinier paper machines is suitable for producing fine paper, high strength corrugated medium and kraft paper.

Application of High Consistency Disc Refiner in Straw Pulps Refining
2012Co-Authors: Yang Shu-zhongAbstract:The production practice indicated that the runability of straw on Fourdrinier can be improved significantly if the pulp is refined by the high consistency disc refiner,the wet end break rate decreases 80%,the strength of the paper increases 10% which is equivalent to that of the paper containing 10% wood pulp.On a Fourdrinier machine with open pick-up and conventional press,the runability of production of 52 g/m2 offset paper containing 100% straw pulp at a speed of 220 m/min is as good as that containing 100% wood pulp.Its operation speed can be up to 500 m/min when the machine equips with vacuum pick-up and complex press unit.
