The quality of online health Information, however, remains questionable. The issue of Information Evaluation has become a hot topic, leading to the development of guidelines and checklists to design high-quality online health Information. However, little attention has been devoted to how consumers, in particular people with low health literacy, evaluate online health Information. Objective: The main aim of this study was to review existing evidence on the association between low health literacy and (1) people’s ability to evaluate online health Information, (2) perceived quality of online health Information, (3) trust in online health Information, and (4) use of Evaluation criteria for online health Information. Methods: Five academic databases (MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Web of Science, CINAHL, and Communication and Mass-media Complete) were systematically searched. We included peer-reviewed publications investigating differences in the Evaluation of online Information between people with different health literacy levels. Results: After abstract and full-text screening, 38 articles were included in the review. Only four studies investigated the specific role of low health literacy in the Evaluation of online health Information. The other studies examined the association between educational level or other skills-based proxies for health literacy, such as general literacy, and outcomes. Results indicate that low health literacy (and related skills) are negatively related to the ability to evaluate online health Information and trust in online health Information. Evidence on the association with perceived quality of online health Information and use of Evaluation criteria is inconclusive. Conclusions: The findings indicate that low health literacy (and related skills) play a role in the Evaluation of online health Information. This topic is therefore worth more scholarly attention. Based on the results of this review, future research in this field should (1) specifically focus on health literacy, (2) devote more attention to the identification of the different criteria people use to evaluate online health Information, (3) develop shared definitions and measures for the most commonly used outcomes in the field of Evaluation of online health Information, and (4) assess the relationship between the different evaluative dimensions and the role played by health literacy in shaping their interplay.

Exploiting constituent dependencies for tree kernel-based semantic relation extraction

It exploits constituent dependencies to keep the nodes and their head children along the path connecting the two entities, while removing the noisy Information from the syntactic parse tree, eventually leading to a dynamic syntactic parse tree. This paper also explores entity features and their combined features in a unified parse and semantic tree, which integrates both structured syntactic parse Information and entity-related semantic Information. Evaluation on the ACE RDC 2004 corpus shows that our dynamic syntactic parse tree outperforms all previous tree spans, and the composite kernel combining this tree kernel with a linear state-of-the-art feature-based kernel, achieves the so far best performance.

Employing Constituent Dependency Information for Tree Kernel-Based Semantic Relation Extraction between Named Entities

The basic idea is to employ constituent dependency Information in keeping the necessary nodes and their head children along the path connecting the two entities in the syntactic parse tree, while removing the noisy Information from the tree, eventually leading to a dynamic syntactic parse tree. This article also explores various entity features and their possible combinations via a unified syntactic and semantic tree framework, which integrates both structural syntactic parse Information and entity-related semantic Information. Evaluation on the ACE RDC 2004 English and 2005 Chinese benchmark corpora shows that our dynamic syntactic parse tree much outperforms all previous tree spans, indicating its effectiveness in well representing the structural nature of relation instances while removing redundant Information. Moreover, the unified parse and semantic tree significantly outperforms the single syntactic parse tree, largely due to the remarkable contributions from entity-related semantic features such as its type, subtype, mention-level as well as their bi-gram combinations. Finally, the best performance so far in semantic relation extraction is achieved via a composite kernel, which combines this tree kernel with a linear, state-of-the-art, feature-based kernel.

Finally, the Information professional is positioned as a relevant actor in the development of Information competencies, and Information science as part of the debate on this subject, for integrating the Informational and communicational world.En la sociedad de la información, la creación y difusión de información ha tenido un crecimiento exponencial, lo que representa un reto para los individuos a la hora de acceder a información confiable. A partir de una revisión bibliográfica, se presentan y discuten tres conceptos clave: búsqueda de información, evaluación de información y fake news. Se conceptualizan los dos primeros como competencias indispensables para enfrentar a las fake news. Asimismo, se exponen algunas definiciones e implicancias que estas competencias poseen para formar a los individuos en el manejo de la información. El fenómeno de las fake news demanda la adquisición de estas competencias, centrales para discernir entre la información confiable y la que no lo es. Por último, se posiciona al profesional de la información como actor de relevancia en el desarrollo de competencias en información, y a la ciencia de la información como parte del debate de esta temática, por integrar el mundo informacional y comunicacional
