    Abstract:

    Recently, direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDS) has widely been applied to many communication systems. People usually employ phase-interpolation approaches to generate a pulse or clock with correct time intervals. This work proposes a new phase-interpolation DDS scheme, which uses the output of the adder within the phase accumulator to provide an initial voltage on an Integration capacitor by pre-charging in the first phase, and then performs Integration Operation on the same Integration capacitor in the second phase. By using single capacitor Integration, the impact caused by capacitance error in the circuit implementation can be reduced. Without ROM tables and D/A converters, the proposed DDS using precharging Integration not only achieves the high-precision clock output, but also has a low hardware cost.

    In this paper, a new phase-interpolation DDS scheme is proposed, which uses the output of the phase accumulator to provide positive-slope Integration on an Integration capacitor in the first phase, and then performs negative-slope Integration Operation on the same Integration capacitor in the second phase. By using dual-slope Integration on a single capacitor, the delay time error caused by capacitance error can be avoided and the die size can be reduced in circuit implementation. Therefore, the proposed DDS without ROM tables can achieve a low-jitter clock output due to generating the more precise delay time.

    Due to the many attractive aspects of DG in the future power distribution system, distribution automation will be a center hub of Integration of the distribution system and resources to satisfy the various needs of customers in a competitive and deregulated environment. In this paper, Operation strategies are presented which use network reconfiguration of the automated distribution systems with DG as a real-time Operation tool for loss reduction and service restoration from the view of distribution Operation. The algorithms and Operation strategies of an automated distribution system with DG are introduced to achieve the positive effects of DG in distribution systems. A simple case study shows the effectiveness of the proposed Operation strategies.

    Abstract:

    This Letter proposes demodulation type PLL for phase and frequency estimation of single-phase system that can reject DC offset. Using results from the adaptive estimation literature, this Letter proposes a linear parametric model-based initial phase angle estimation approach. Then by using differentiation and Integration Operation on the estimated initial phase angle, the frequency is estimated. This avoids the use of any low-pass filter unlike conventional demodulation-based technique. Moreover, unlike existing demodulation-based technique, the proposed technique can completely reject DC offset. Comparative experimental results, provided with state-of-the-art DC offset rejection-based enhanced phase locked-loop, clearly demonstrate the suitability of the proposed technique.
