  • Warehouse Inventory Management System using IoT and open source framework
    Alexandria Engineering Journal, 2018
    Co-Authors: B. Sai Subrahmanya Tejesh, S. Neeraja
    Abstract:

Abstract In general, warehouses are used to store goods or products. In the Warehouses, if the user wants to locate any product it is very difficult, because user have to do a detailed search manually in all the available stockrooms this requires a lot of effort. So to avoid this problem the warehouse Inventory Management System is very helpful because it maintains the detailed product information and tells us in which stockroom the product is present. The warehouse Inventory Management System is playing a significant aspect in many productions and goods based methodology. Though there are many wireless communication technologies the RFID suits the best for the warehouse Inventory Management System. The tag information is transferred from the transmitter section to open source hardware via a wireless link with the aid of internet. The warehouse Inventory Management System built on the architecture of the Internet of Things is developed to track the products attached to the tags with product information and their respective time stamps for further verification. The Raspberry Pi acts as a central server, monitoring all the information. The total System gives an archetype to correspond the information flow and material flow. The web page which is built in accordance to provide convenient and an interface to the user to track the products. The developed System results a very low cost System and works dynamically compared with the existing present warehouse Inventory Management Systems.

  • Inventory Management System for water supply network
2014 37th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2014
    Co-Authors: O. Jukic, I. Hedi
    Abstract:

In this paper, Inventory Management System for water supply network is presented. Considering the existing experience in telecommunications network Management area, we have made comparison between basic aspects of telecommunications network Management and water supply network Management. As a first step, we have detected the need for developing water supply network Inventory System, covering configuration Management functional area. The main goal of this System is to collect, process and store Inventory data through graphical user interface, to be presented to network operating personnel. Related work is researched and briefly presented. After that, the Inventory Management System solution is presented. Complete network structure is modelled as information model in Data Warehouse. Graphical user interface, developed in web technology with Google maps as background, with basic knowledge integrated, is presented. Some basic functions of GUI (graphical user interface) are discussed, such as: logging of network maintenance and repair actions, network planning support and reporting. Finally, we have tried to define future steps for evolution of this Inventory Management System in complete water supply network solution. Hence, we have made basic discussion related to technical aspects of real-time data collecting in water supply networks, introducing performance and fault Management functional areas in water supply network Management.

  • Improvement of Inventory Management System based on PDCA
    Journal of Computer Applications, 2010
    Co-Authors: Xu Xiao
    Abstract:

Lack of money is the biggest barrier to the informationization of medium and small-sized enterprises' Management.Based on PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Action),the design, realization and improvement of low cost Inventory Management System for medium and small-sized enterprises was introduced.A trace-database and trace-table were established as one of the test tools of the software and as a tool to help the employees join in the circle of PDCA,which reduced the cost of testing and training. The results of the System realization, performance testing and total cost statistics indicate that the method is useful.
