The main idea of this method is to take full advantage of the equation that Jacobin elliptic functions satisfy and use its solutions to replace Jacobin elliptic functions in Jacobin elliptic function method. It is interesting that many other methods are special cases of our method. Some illustrative equations are investigated by this means.

The Burke of South America: Heroic figures and political operations of Manuel Moreno en Vida y Memorias del Dr. Don Mariano Moreno

La vinculación con el Terror Francés fue utilizada en vida de Moreno para criticar su accionar y apartarlo de la Junta de Buenos Aires, hecho que se concretó con su partida a Londres y su muerte en altamar en 1811. Su hermano, Manuel Moreno, escribió desde la capital inglesa Vida y Memorias del Dr. Don Mariano Moreno (1812), con el fin de reivindicar su figura y de promover los vínculos económicos y políticos con Gran Bretaña. La apuesta del biógrafo es acercar a Moreno a una postura más moderada, atractiva al ojo británico; por eso, le sirve comparar a su hermano con Edmund Burke, el antiJacobino por excelencia. Teniendo en cuenta esta intención, el artículo se propone analizar las estrategias narrativas y las operaciones políticas de la biografía que convierten a Moreno en un héroe civil, cuya muerte trágica y a destiempo lo aproxima a la figura del individuo romántico. Asimismo, se indagará el modo en que Manuel Moreno busca atenuar las connotaciones negativas de las revoluciones americanas, con miras a la recepción de un público doble, rioplatense y británico.In the Argentine imaginary, Mariano Moreno is the indisputable leader of the «Jacobin» wing of Argentine Revolution. Task-space PD Control of Robot Manipulators: Unified Analysis and Duality Property
The International Journal of Robotics Research, 2008Co-Authors: Chien Chern CheahAbstract:Task-space regulation of robots is classified into two basic approaches, namely transpose Jacobian regulation and inverse Jacobian regulation. This paper shows that, despite the distinct differences between inverse Jacobian and transpose Jacobian regulation problems, there is a unified approach for the analysis and design of the transpose Jacobian and inverse Jacobian PD controllers for non-redundant robots. Based on the unified analysis, we show that there is a fundamental property in the task-space regulation problem, namely the duality property. The results on the duality property show that the transpose Jacobian matrix can be replaced by the inverse Jacobian matrix and vice versa. The two basic transformations, the transpose Jacobian and the inverse Jacobian, are said to be dual. The task-space PD controllers are implemented on an industrial robot and experiment results are presented.

LeeAbstract:The H/sub /spl infin// tuning problem for task-space feedback control of a robot with uncertain kinematics and Jacobian matrix from joint space to task space is formulated and solved. H/sub /spl infin// tuning methods are presented for two task-space feedback controllers when the systems are subject to external disturbance. It is shown that the conditions for the establishment of H/sub /spl infin// tuning can be obtained in simple forms without solving the Hamilton-Jacobi inequalities even in the presence of kinematics uncertainty.

the effect of Jacobin cuckoo clamator Jacobinus parasitism on the body mass and survival of young in a new host species
Ibis, 2012Co-Authors: Amanda R Ridley, Alexander Cargill M W ThompsonAbstract:The southern African subspecies of Jacobin Cuckoo Clamator Jacobinus serratus is a brood parasite of a range of host species. While Jacobin Cuckoos do not evict host young, previous research has found that host young rarely survive the nestling period. Here we provide the first records of Jacobin Cuckoo parasitism of a new host species, the Southern Pied Babbler Turdoides bicolor. We investigate rates of brood parasitism and the survival of host young. The Southern Pied Babbler is one of the largest recorded hosts for Jacobin Cuckoos and, unusually, we find that host young tend to survive the nestling period and maintain similar body mass to host young in unparasitized broods. However, host young were less likely to survive to independence than young raised in unparasitized nests, suggesting a post-fledging reproductive cost to hosts.
