    Abstract:

    Objective To study the cause of the extraction of Orbit Implant.(Methods) Twenty-two cases with Orbit Implant extraction were studied between September 2001 and August 2004. Results 22 Implants were extracted,of which 20 cases had Implant exposure,10 cases had infection,4 cases had no fibrovascularization. Conclusions Cases with Orbit Implant extraction often suffered from Implant exposure,infection and nonfibrovascularization.

    Abstract:

    Objective To explore the material and evaluate the effect of a kind of antiprolapsed Orbital Implant.Methods According to the postoperative anatomic characters after ophthalmectomy,the size of the Orbital Implant was designed and the hydroxyapatite and dacron cloth were chosen as the materials for making the Orbital Implant.Results The dacron cloth whsch formed adherence completely so that the Orbital Implant could not move out and displace.Conclusions The hydioxyapatite and dacron cloyh are the better materials,the antiprolapsed comlex Orbit Implant for making with better histocompatibility and slight inflammatory reaction,and it is worth popularizing in the clinic.

    Objective To study the causes of the extraction of hydroxyapatite Orbit Implant.Methods Implant materials and methods of operation in 19 cases whose Implants were extracted were analysed.Results Bad technical skill,preoperative intraOrbital inflammation and conjunctival sac crispation were disadvantages to prognosis.Conclusion Reasonable selection of operative methods materials,and operative skill are all important factors.

    Abstract:

    Objective To explore the material and evaluate the effect of a kind of antiprolapsed Orbital Implant. Methods According to the postoperative anatomic characters after ophthalmectomy, the size of the Orbital Implant was designed and the polymethyl methacrylate and dacron cloth were chosen as the materials for making the robital Implant. Six rabbits were operated the ophthalmectomy and Orbital Implant. The relationship of the Orbital Implant and ocular tissues around were observed by naked eye and HE staining at the different time. Results Many fibrous tissues rounded and invaded the polymethyl methacrylate which mostly adhered to tissues around, and the dacron cloth which formed adherence completely so that the Orbital Implant could not move out and displace. Conclusion The polymethyl methacrylate and dacron cloth are the better materials, the antiprolapsed comlex Orbit Implant for making with better histocompatibility and slight inflammatory reaction, and it is worth popularizing in the clinic.
