    Abstract:

    Abstract Biological synthesis of metal nanoparticles is one of the effortless, cost - effective, environmental - friendly methods and scale down the handling of toxic chemicals. The silver nanoparticles were triumphantly synthesized from the silver nitrate solution through a greener route using Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus Emblica) fruit extract and the prepared particles are of well-balanced shape and size. The stabilization and the bio-reduction of silver nanoparticles were described by adopting UV–vis spectrometry interprets the surface plasmon resonance peak at 449 nm. The functional groups of Phyllanthus Emblica fruit extract and the silver nanoparticles were diagnosed by using Fourier transform Infrared spectrum (FTIR). The crystalline nature of face-centered cubic (FCC) was examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the crystalline size ranges between 19 nm to 45 nm with an average size 30 nm. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) witnessed the hexagonal shape of silver nanoparticles and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscope (EDX) assured the well-established fabrication of nanocrystalline silver element. The synthesized nanoparticle exhibits significant antibacterial effects and very clear zone of inhibition against Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus bacterias.

    Abstract:

    Abstract This research aim to study bioactivity of seed extract compare with fruit extract of Indian gooseberry; Phyllanthus Emblica that use as medicinal plant widely in Thailand. Analyzed the efficacy of free radical scavenging by using DPPH radical scavenging assay reveal that the highest antioxidant activity found in the highest concentration, 10 mg/ml and both fruit and seed extracts had non-significant percentage of reduction as α -tocopherol. The determination of phytochemical exhibited that seed extract had the higher contents of tannin and flavonoid than fruit extract as 126.71 mg TAE/g extract and 1016.25 mg QE/g extract, respectively. Cytotoxicity studied of extracts against human breast adenocarcinoma cell line by MTT assay at the maximum concentration 10000 μ g/ml found that seed extract had more toxicity than fruit extract at 68.98% and 35.57%. According to the bioactivities results, the seed of Phyllanthus Emblica has potential to replace the fruit for medical aspects to add value of this plant.

    Abstract:

    Phyllanthus Emblica is a fruit widely consumed in subtropical areas, which is rich in polyphenols and other nutrients. There are increasing evidences that as a daily and nutritious fruit, it may have a positive role in controlling diabetic complications. According to the new study, its mechanisms include enhancing the functioning of insulin, reducing insulin resistance, activating the insulin-signaling pathway, protecting β-cells, scavenging free radicals, alleviating inflammatory reactions, and reducing the accumulation of advanced glycation end products. Owing to its few side effects, and low price, it should be easily accepted by patients and has potential for preventing diabetes. Taken together, Phyllanthus Emblica may be an ideal fruit for controlling diabetic complications. This review highlights the latest findings of the role of Phyllanthus Emblica in anti-diabetes and its complications, especially clarifies the molecular mechanism of the chemical components related to this effect, and prospects some existing problems and future research directions.
