NR2B Gene Expression Change in Wistar Rat Practicing Aerobic Exercise Comparing to Soybean (Glycine max) or Phyllanthus niruri Intakes and Soybean and Phyllanthus niruri Composition Intake
International Journal of Integrated Health Sciences, 2015Co-Authors: Vita Muniarti Tarawan, Diah Dhianawaty, Tetty Yuniati, Muhamad Nurhalim ShahibAbstract:Objective: The objective of this study is to examine the relation between nutrition and brain memory. Qualified human resource is the most valuable national asset. Adequate nutrition and regular exercise provide higher achievement to create healthy and smart generations. Methods: The method applied in this study was experimental laboratory. This study was conducted on Juni 2011–Juli 2012 at the Biomedical and Biochemistry laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Padjadjaran. The subjects were 8 weeks approximately 200–250 grams, male Wistar rats. The examination involved 56 male Wistar rats divided into 8 groups with different treatments. The groups which received exercise treatment were also given Glycine max and Phyllanthus niruri intakes. Results: NR2B gene expression changes can be described as the following results: (1) without practicing exercise (3,8) and after exercises (4,6); (2) Glycine max intake minus exercise (2,86) and Glycine max intake and exercises (3,17); (3) Phyllanthus niruri intake minus exercises (4,7) and Phyllanthus niruri intake and exercises (4,9); and (4) Glycine max and Phyllanthus niruri composition intake minus exercises (3,14) and Glycine max and Phyllanthus niruri composition intake and exercises (4,83). Conclusions: This study determines that exercises and Phyllanthus niruri intake enhance NR2B gene expressions. Glycine max inhibits the NR2B gene expressions. Glycine max and Phyllanthus niruri composition intake and either with or without practicing exercises enhance NR2B gene expressions. Therefore, practicing exercises and Phyllanthus niruri intake might cause brain cell apoptosis while Glycine max intake inhibits brain cell apoptosis. PENGARUH EKSTRAK MENIRAN (Phyllanthus niruri L.) TERHADAP KADAR HB DAN PCV DARAH TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN (Rattus novergicus strain wistar) YANG DIPAPAR TIMBAL ASETAT
2019Co-Authors: Surotol, Emmy Umairoh RodhotulAbstract:Background: Exposure of lead acetate causes erythrocyte damage marked by decreased Hb and PCV. Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L) contain antioxidant compounds, tannin, vitamin C, phenolic, terpen, flavonoid and lignan which expected can attenuate erythrocyte damage by inhibiting oxidative stress due to the accumulation of free radicals caused by lead acetate. Objective: To determine the effect of meniran extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) increase Hb and PCV levels of male white rat induced by lead acetate. Method: True Experiment with post test only control group design. 16 rats as a sample were divided into 4 groups, the positive control group (induced by lead acetate) 3 treatment groups (induced by lead acetate, and meniran extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) 0,1, 0,2, and 0,4 [mg/grBW/day]). Hb and PCV levels are measured by Automated Hematology Analyser (Micros 6). The data were analyzed using test MANOVA, Post Hoc Bonferroni test and regression test. Results and Discussion: Results showed significant (p=0.001) effect of meniran extract and Hb and PCV levels. Post hoc test results obtained a dose of 0,2 mg/grBW/ day has begun to show a significant increase of Hb and PCV levels . The result of regression test showed 80,9% main effect of meniran extract for Hb and 61,1% for PCV levels on blood of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) strain wistar. This is because antioxidant compounds, tannin, vitamin C, phenolic, terpen, flavonoid and lignan at meniran. Conclusion: Meniran extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) has effect increasing Hb and PCV levels on blood of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) strain wistar induced by lead acetate

Pengaruh Ekstrak Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L) Terhadap Kadar SGOT dan SGPT Serum Darah Tikus Putih Jantan (Rattus norvegicus) Strain Wistar yang Dipapar Timbal Asetat
2019Co-Authors: Jati, Thaharah Izmi SaputriAbstract:Background: Accumulation of lead exposure in the body can cause liver injury. Liver injury marked by increased SGOT and SGPT serum. Liver Injury can prevented by antioxidant. Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L) contain antioxidant such as flavonoids, vitamin C , terpenes, tannins and lignans which expected can attenuate hepatocellular injury by inhibiting oxidative stress due to the accumulation of free radicals caused by lead acetat. Objective: To determine the effect of meniran extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) on lowering SGOT and SGPT levels of male white rat induced by lead acetat. Method: True Experiment with post test only control group design. 16 rats as a sample were divided into 4 groups, the positive control group (induced by lead acetat ) 3 treatment groups (induced by lead acetat, and meniran extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) 20, 40, and 80 [mg / 200 grWB / day]). SGOT and SGPT levels are measured by spectrophotometer with wavelength of 340 nm. The data were analyzed using test One Way Anova , Post Hoc Bonferroni test and Regression test. Results and Discussion: One Way Anova test results showed that the difference of SGOT and SGPT levels of rats are significant (p=0.001) and (p=0.004) among groups. Post hoc test results obtained a dose of 80 mg/200 grWB/ day has begun to show a significant decrease of SGOT and SGPT levels . The result of regression test significant (p=0.000) show there was a relationship between the dose of meniran extract with SGOT and SGPT levels on blood serum of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) strain wistar. This is happen because the content of antioxidant compounds is flavonoids, vitamin C , terpenes, tannins and lignans in Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L). Conclusion: Meniran extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) has effect lowering SGOT and SGPT levels on blood serum of white male rats (Rattus norvegicus) strain wistar induced by lead acetat
