  • PPP Vendor Extensions
    1997
    Co-Authors: W. Simpson
    Abstract:

The point-to-point protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. PPP defines an extensible Link Control protocol (LCP) for establishing, configuring, and testing the data-link connection; and a family of Network Control protocols (NCPs) for establishing and configuring different network-layer protocols. This document provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.

  • PPP over SONET/SDH
    1994
    Co-Authors: W. Simpson
    Abstract:

The point-to-point protocol (PPP) [1] provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. This document describes the use of PPP over Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) and Synchronous Digital Heirarchy (SDH) circuits. This document replaces and obsoletes RFC 1619. See section 7 for a summary of the changes from RFC 1619. This document is the product of the point-to-point protocol Extensions Working Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Comments should be submitted to the ietf-ppp@merit.edu mailing list.

  • PPP in X.25
    1994
    Co-Authors: W. Simpson
    Abstract:

The point-to-point protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. This document describes the use of X.25 for framing PPP encapsulated packets. [STANDARDS-TRACK]

  • PPP LCP Extensions
    1994
    Co-Authors: W. Simpson
    Abstract:

The point-to-point protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. PPP defines an extensible Link Control protocol (LCP) for establishing, configuring, and testing the data-link connection. This document defines several additional LCP features which have been suggested over the past few years. [STANDARDS-TRACK]

  • The point-to-point protocol (PPP)
    1993
    Co-Authors: W. Simpson
    Abstract:

The point-to-point protocol (PPP) provides a standard method for transporting multi-protocol datagrams over point-to-point links. PPP is comprised of three main components:

  • The Remote Monitor System for Track Based on GPRS
Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Technology, 2007
    Co-Authors: Song Guo-jie
    Abstract:

Based on General Packet Radio Service (GPRS).we design the remote monitor system of track status in this paper and introduce the components for the whole system in detail. This system sets up the procedure of GPRS connecting by GPRS module. It executes data transfer and monitoring through point-to-point protocol (PPP). This system shows great value for remote monitor system of track status.
