  • ISCSLP - Relationship between perception and Production of English vowels by Chinese English learners
2016 10th International Symposium on Chinese Spoken Language Processing (ISCSLP), 2016
Co-Authors: Aihui Zhang, Hui Feng, Siyu Wang, Jianwu Dang
    Abstract:

In previous studies, no consensus has been reached on the existence of significant corRelation between perception and Production. A large number of empirical studies have been done upon first and second languages from different language families. However, few studies were carried out on the perception-Production Relation of Chinese English learners. Therefore, in the current study, under the theoretical framework of PAM-L1, 40 subjects with even numbers in two genders, who differ in language proficiency, are invited to participate in the perception experiment and the Production experiment, in which discrimination, identification and pronunciation of /I/-/e/, /e/-/ae/, /ʊ/-/Λ/ and /Λ/-/ɒ/ contrasts are observed. Results reveal that vowel perception of Chinese English learners is neither statistically correlated nor spectrally related to vowel Production. Centroid spectral distances of Production is not correlated to the correctness of discrimination, and the L2 perception range proves to manifest no significant Relation to the L2 Production range for Chinese EFL learners. PAM fails to explain the Relation between vowel perception and Production because the Relation is of great complexity. No perception-Production Relation is found in the English learning of Chinese learners.

  • On the Relationship of the duality of Production Relation
    Journal of Xuchang University, 2020
    Co-Authors: Cui Chao-dong
    Abstract:

It is commonly known that Production Relation is featured with two attributes. The general attribute includes the common mechanism in economic operation and resource allocation. The special attribute includes the basic economic system. However, there still exist problems in the scarcity and one-sidedness of research in duality of Production Relation.According to Marxist economics and its methods, the general attribute of Production Relation is the joint or link between the special attribute of Production Relation and productivity. And the development of the special attribute of Production Relation is finally realized through the general attribute and determined by productivity. The critical retroaction from the development of special attribute is also realized through the development of general attribute.

  • On the Relationship between the Dualities of Production Relation and Its Relationship with Productivity
    Economic Survey, 2020
    Co-Authors: Cui Chao-dong
    Abstract:

Economic system and mechanism are the joints or middle links between economic institution and productive force. Just as ownership system being the foundation of economic institution is not contradictory with productive force determining economic institution, economic institution determining the social nature of economic system and mechanism does not conflict with economic system and mechanism constituting the semi-productive force base of economic institution and determining the change of economic institution. Exploring the dual features of Production Relation and its Relationship with productivity is beneficial for analyzing and explaining the difficult theoretical and practical problems and revealing the law of economic development in the primary stage of Chinese socialism.

  • A Research into Marxist Theory on the Source of Economic Crisis
    Economic Survey, 2020
    Co-Authors: Cui Chao-dong
    Abstract:

Marxist theory on the source of economic crisis needs to be upheld and developed and Marxist analysis of the source of economic crisis can be understood from Marxist theory on the duality of Production Relation and its method.Marx’s analysis on the possibility of economic crisis in simple commodity economy illustrates from the general perspective of Production Relation that commodity-currency Relationship is the source of economic crisis.Marx’s analysis that the source of economic crisis is the basic contradictions of capitalism is not only a further analysis of the inevitability of the basic contradictions of commody economy being sure to cause economic crisis and how they do so from the perspective of the duality of Production Relation but also an emphasis on the great effect of basic social and economic system on economic crisis from the special perspective of Production Relation.
