  • Study of Railway Transport Service Quality Evaluation
Journal of Dalian Jiaotong University, 2008
    Co-Authors: Liu Jun
    Abstract:

Based on SERVQUAL evaluation model,a service quality evaluation system of China′s Railway Transport is constructed.Empirical studies have simplified the indicators system and finalized the Railway passenger service quality evaluation model, and its reliability and validity were also verified. The study has shown that Railway Transport service quality has five dimensions such as tangibility, reliability, communication, portability and relationship. Finally, the study applies the indicators system into practice to evaluate the Railway Transport service quality and propose some suggestions for Railway Transport enterprises to improve their service, which provide the profound academic and realistic basis of service quality improvemt for Railway Transport enterprises.

  • Study on Railway Transport Service Quality Evaluation
2007 International Conference on Wireless Communications Networking and Mobile Computing, 2007
    Co-Authors: Liu Jun
    Abstract:

Service quality is the decisive factor that service enterprises can use to create difference and obtain competitive advantages. Firstly, the study is based on SERVQUAL evaluation model and combines the actual situation of China's Railway Transport service to construct its evaluation indicators system. Empirical studies have simplified the indicators system and finalized the Railway passenger service quality evaluation model. Furthermore, we have tested its reliability and validity. The study has shown that Railway Transport service quality has five dimensions, which are tangibility, reliability, communication, portability and relationship. Finally, the study applies the indicators system into practice to evaluate the Railway Transport service quality and make some suggestions for Railway Transport enterprises to improve their service, it also provide the profound academic and realistic basis for Railway Transport enterprises to improve their service.

  • Synergies of the Liberalization of the Railway Transport Market
    MATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Co-Authors: Michal Panak, Borna Abramović, Eva Nedeliaková, Denis Šipuš
    Abstract:

The liberalization of Transport market brings various effects, which in the context of the assessment of synergies can affect in different ways the company, a customer as such, and Transport undertakings operating on the Railway Transport market as well. This paper provides an innovative perspective on the relationship between liberalization and synergy, defining new types of synergies that have not yet been monitored in the conditions of Railway Transport. This approach is interesting because of the possibility of assessing the operation of Railway undertakings in the open Transport market. The eminent is characteristic of integration type synergies and emergence type synergies in relation to Railway Transport, as well as the breakdown of synergies in relation to the customer and carrier.

  • SYNERGY IN LOGISTICS PROCESSES FOR Railway Transport
Business Logistics in Modern Management, 2017
Co-Authors: Borna Abramović, Eva Nedeliaková, Michal Panak, Denis Šipuš
    Abstract:

Monitoring synergies of logistics processes in Railway Transport is currently considered a novelty and it is very actual. The main reason of solutions synergies are their growing importance in the case of necessary operational responses. Synergy is the creation of a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts. It is an innovative resolution because synergies in logistics processes related to the Railway Transport have not been addressed in research and scientific projects in the greater extent thus far. The integral part of the synergies is the quality in Railway Transport which includes the never-ending logistics processes. Railway undertakings in cooperation with other participants of the Transport market and suppliers are constantly working on the quality of logistics processes and their improvement. Methods to improve logistics processes in Railway Transport are technical standards (ISO) or different methods: Total Quality Management, Deming cycle - PDCA cycle,Six Sigma, DMAIC Improvement Cycle and EFQM Excellence Model. Qualities of services in Railway Transport significantly affect all stakeholders in international Transport chain. This paper is focused also on monitoring the costs of quality, which is done monthly and yearly with the exact division of the costs of this kind. The internal and external quality cost, prevention and evaluation costs are added to the total cost of quality. The result of the research should create a report about costs of quality logistics processes in Railway Transport.

  • PROGRESSIVE VIEW ON QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH ON IMPROVING SERVICES IN Railway Transport
    2016
    Co-Authors: Eva Nedeliaková, Michal Panak
    Abstract:

This article describes the results of research focused on progressive view on quality management. It characterizes a research of improving services in Railway Transport. Improvement of these services has a strong importance in customer considering on the future use of Railway Transport. The research provides quality characteristics of Transportation, defines critical points of technological processes and specifies the quality model supported by software solution. Main principles and results of the research have a significant importance and belong to numerous initiatives aimed to develop and support Railway Transport as an environmentally conscious mean of Transport.

  • Methodics of Identification Level of Service Quality in Railway Transport
Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2014
Co-Authors: Eva Nedeliaková, Jana Sekulová, Ivan Nedeliak, Martin Ľoch
    Abstract:

The goal of contribution is to characterize methodics of identification level of services quality, which is a result from extensive researches being solved at Department of Railway Transport, University of Žilina. The first part of the methodics is characterised by calculating the complex indicator of quality for the corresponding process of the provision of service, second part is focused on customer, employee and supplier oriented approach in terms of compliance with principles applicable to Railway Transport. Unique and universal character predetermines methodics for use in all technological processes of Transport chain in Railway Transport.
