    Abstract:

    The purpose of this research work is to prepare an information Security Management Plan for the Security assets of the Cañar provincial government, dedicated to the implementation of projects and services, in order to meet the province's requirements. The applied approach is inductive-deductive, supported by descriptive and bibliographic research, together with the analytical method; The techniques for collecting the information were: questionnaires, checklists, and interviews with public servants from the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) department. The results of the investigation demonstrated the potential risks against the Security assets of the Cañar prefecture, being the lack of Security procedures and the little importance of training in cyberSecurity issues to the servers who are working in the organization, therefore that it is essential to develop information Security policies, focusing their efforts on the area of ​​cyberSecurity, precisely in this era in which all companies seek technological innovation and therefore the growth of information systems and services through the internet.El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo elaborar un Plan de gestión de seguridad de la información para los activos de seguridad del gobierno provincial del Cañar, dedicado a la implementación de proyectos y servicios, con el fin de cubrir los requerimientos de la provincia. El enfoque aplicado es inductivo-deductivo, apoyado en la investigación bibliográfica y descriptiva, junto al método analítico; las técnicas para la recolección de la información fueron: cuestionarios, listas de verificación y entrevistas con los servidores públicos del departamento de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC). Los resultados de la investigación demostraron los riesgos potenciales contra los activos de seguridad de la prefectura del Cañar, siendo la falta de procedimientos de seguridad y la poca importancia de capacitación en temas de ciberseguridad a los servidores que se encuentran laborando en la organización, por lo que es fundamental desarrollar políticas de seguridad de la información, enfocando sus esfuerzos en el área de la ciberseguridad, precisamente en esta era en la que todas las empresas buscan la innovación tecnológica y por ende el crecimiento de los sistemas de información y servicios a través de internet

    Abstract:

    La presente investigación titulada “Propuesta de un Plan Maestro y de Gestión de Seguridad para la construcción del proyecto Multifamiliar las Palmas del Golf, Trujillo – Perú, tiene como objetivo determinar la manera en que se relaciona la propuesta de un Plan maestro y de gestión de seguridad con la construcción del proyecto multifamiliar Las Palmas del Golf, sigue una metodología que se caracteriza por ser de tipo descriptivo de nivel metodológico cuantitativo, no experimental, tiene un diseño correlativo transversal directo, aplicado a una muestra de 27 individuos, todos ellos individuos que laboran en el proyecto de multifamiliar Las Palmas del Golf; Trujillo de la empresa constructora Mezabp Contratistas S.A.C., a quienes se les evaluó a traves de dos instrumentos, el primero siendo una matriz de llenado y la segunda una encuesta, los mismos que han sido diseñados a partir de las dimensiones y variables establecidas en la operacionalizacion, posteriormente calculadas a partir de técnicas de estadística descriptiva de frecuencias y de correlación con el método de Rho de Spearman obtuvo un índice de 0, 973 ptos., es decir 97.3%, con un índice de significancia de 0,027 o 2,7%, validando la hipótesis general alterna que supone una influencia significativa de la propuesta de un Plan maestro y de gestión de seguridad sobre la construcción del proyecto multifamiliar Las Palmas del Golf; Trujillo.The present investigation entitled “Proposal for a Master Plan and Security Management for the construction of the Las Palmas del Golf Multifamily project, Trujillo - Peru, aims to determine the way in which the proposal of a master Plan and Management of Security with the construction of the Las Palmas del Golf multifamily project, follows a methodology that is characterized by being descriptive type of quantitative methodological level, not experimental, has a direct cross-sectional correlative design, applied to a sample of 27 individuals, all of them individuals who they work in the Las Palmas del Golf multifamily project; Trujillo of the construction company Mezabp Contractors SAC, who were evaluated through two instruments, the first being a filling matrix and the second a survey, the same ones that have been designed from the dimensions and variables established in the operationalization , later calculated from descriptive statistics of frequencies and correlation techniques with Spearman's Rho method, it obtained an index of 0.973 pts., that is, 97.3%, with a significance index of 0.027 or 2.7%, validating the alternate general hypothesis that the proposed master Plan and Security Management Plan significantly influence the construction of the Las Palmas del Golf multifamily project; Trujillo.Tesi

  • Measuring the Onlooker Effect in Information Security Violations

    Abstract:

    Todays’ organizations need to be ensured that their critical information is secure, not leaked, and inadvertently modified. Despite the awareness of organizations and their investment in implementing an information Security Management Plan, information Security breaches still cause financial and reputational costs for organizations. A recent report of the Ponemon Institute for 2019 showed that the global cost and frequency of data breach increased, and negligent insiders are the root cause of most incidents. Many insider threats to cyberSecurity are not malicious but are intentional. Specifically, more than 60 percent of reported incidents in 2019 were due to negligent or inadvertent employees or contractors (Ponemon Institute 2020). Many behavioral cyberSecurity research projects investigate factors that influence mitigating information Security violations, but still, there is a need to have a better understanding of behavioral factors. One of these factors is the perception of being overseen by onlookers who are organization members to whom one’s Security policy violations are visible, but who are not directly involved in the behavior. This study examines the onlooker effect through the lens of Sociometer Theory and Affective Events Theory, which were used to investigate the impact of the perception of being overseen in a workplace on an intention to violate information Security policies. In addition, this study tests the hypothesis that individuals under this situation experience different negative affective responses. Finally, this research tests the hypothesis that perceived onlooker threat intensifies these relationships by examining its moderating influence. An experimental vignette study was conducted with the Qualtrics platform with the currently employed population who are aware of information Security policies in their organizations to determine responses to treatment conditions. The results suggested that the interaction of the perceived presence of onlookers and perceived onlooker threat results in experiencing negative affective responses such as shame, guilt, fear, and embarrassment. Moreover, the results showed that employees experiencing fear, guilt, or embarrassment are less intended to violate information Security policies. Overall, this research the understanding of the onlooker effect and the essential role of perceived onlooker threat. This study has substantial theoretical and practical implications for information Security scholars and practitioners
