  • Walter Eucken’s work from today’s perspective: his contribution to euro-economic thinking
Universidad de Alcalá. Instituto de dirección y Organización de Empresas, 2018
    Co-Authors: García Echevarría Santiago
    Abstract:

The work of Walter Eucken, who, among other achievements, founded the Freiburg School of European economic thinking, is a new conceptualisation of the Economy in Society. In its time, this was partly a response to Keynesianism; today it is a response to the prevailing neo-Classical economic trends. Eucken regards the Economy as being based upon homo oeconomicus ; this is an Economy that requires a great methodological change in how one understands the Economy within the context of the Societal Order. Not only does this new conceptualisation imply a new way of approaching the Economy; it also integrates Economic Policy into Societal Politics, taking on a values system when determining the Economic Order. On the one hand, the goal is economic efficiency and on the other it is the individuals’ action within a framework of human dignity. This, then, is the Central European train of thought that underlies the Social Market Economy as an Economic Order and a reflection in the Roman Catholic Church’s Social Doctrine. This is the European Economic Order – the foundations upon which the future development of the individual in new Societal contexts must be raised

  • The socio-economic impact of automatisation. Keys of the organisational design
Universidad de Alcalá. Instituto de dirección y Organización de Empresas, 2018
    Co-Authors: García Echevarría Santiago
    Abstract:

Both digitisation and the dawn of the development of Artificial Intelligence constitute a great change in our Culture which is characterised by the division of labour. Together with economic and social globalisation of – a process that is now well-established – the development of know-how and new technologies are laying the foundation for a profound change with regard to designing, concretising and acting in economic processes. This primarily affects the socio-economic dimension of our Society, with great structural changes which affect directly both businesses and other Institutions in Society which in turn will have a deep effect upon the development of the individual. This process of transformation has begun and, although still in its infancy, opens up new ways of conceiving the role of the individual in economic-Societal reality. This contribution concentrates on analysing the impact of digitisation upon economic and social structures as well as upon business as the key Institution in welcoming this change, bearing in mind its repercussions upon the development of the individual. This requires a deeper examination of our conception of the Economic-Societal Order through the Institutional framework that does not only include the Economic Order, but also the Societal Order before new social questions arise, avoiding the crises which will affect the integrated development of the individual. There is no economic growth without advances in knowledge and the development of new technologies, key conditions for the necessary increase in productivity in work as a precondition for the development of the individual which is, after all, the ultimate aim of the transformation of the individual’s action as a result of digitisation This is a great opportunity to focus the economic reality upon the development of the individual. It is a priority that this economic reality must take action in the processes of digitisation and its contribution to human development. Such is the great challenge facing our Society

  • Existential and Archetypal Architectonics of Social (Societal) Order
'Blue Eyes Intelligence Engineering and Sciences Engineering and Sciences Publication - BEIESP', 2020
Co-Authors: Alexander, Pavlovich Pavlov, Pavel, Aleksandrovich Pavlov, Denis, Vladimirovich Lvov, Alexey, Sergeevich Novikov, Irina, Georgievna Sinkovskaya, Dmitry, Vladimirovich Rakhinsky
    Abstract:

The article deals with the modern Order (world Order) in the context of modern social reality. This is due to the need to identify and diagnose the current socio-cultural situation in the world. It is suggested that modern social and socio-political Orders, as well as world Order patterns and mechanisms, are unable to reproduce the value identity of societies. This is partly due to the disruption of the "super doctrines", "pictures of the world", which for many centuries held social identity around a common substantive core, namely, national, religious, or political ideology. The article also discusses the role of individuals in the course of social reproduction, as well as presents general arguments about the increasing role of the human factor and the need for more efficient use of human capital

    HAL CCSD, 2018
    Co-Authors: Gérard Caroline
    Abstract:

The lengthening of life expectancy sybstantially changes the Societal Order. Older people make up an ever-increasing share of the population and are now the receiving special attention from both public and private actors. The society is at the gates of its silver mutation. Yet the legal discipline seems refractory the the idea of a specific apprehension of old age. If a particular care is already given to the elderly in many areas, it is only in a piecemeal and sparse way. Adapting the rigth to ageing cannot be satisfied with simple adjustments. The protection of the elderly person is now under the prism of a common protection where age is only little takin into account. In any other measure, the older person can also be protected though the legal protection mechanisms of adults. Again, age is not considered a criterion of protection. This relative negation of the advanced age criterion as a source of protection is not adapted to demographic change. Old age should be protected for itself and every major must be assurez of the respect of her rights and the best maintenance of her legal capacity throughout his life. It is for this reason that this thesis proposes a reorientation of the norm in favour of old age. Such an evolution could give society a chance to adapt to its own ageing and to take the real measure. The insertion of a post-majority, conceived as a new general time of existence, carries the promise of widespread protection of old age and proposes a new balance between capacity and protection. The aim is to secure the expression and respect for the will during the period of old age, while stimulating the intergenerational interdependence that is essential to the mobilization of the whole society for the benefit of elderly.L’allongement de l’espérance de vie modifie substantiellement l’ordre sociétal.

  • process structural realism instance ontology and Societal Order
    2008
    Co-Authors: Joseph E Earley
    Abstract:

Whitehead’s cosmology centers on the self-creation of actual occasions that perish as they come to be, but somehow do combine to constitute societies that are persistent agents and/or patients. “Instance Ontology” developed by D.W. Mertz concerns unification of relata into facts of relatedness by specific intensions. These two conceptual systems are similar in that they both avoid the substance-property distinction: they differ in their understanding of how basic units combine to constitute complex unities. “Process Structural Realism” (PSR) draws from both of these approaches in developing an account of how combinations of processes may produce ontologically significant coherences. When a group of processes achieves such closure that a set of states recurs continually, the effects of that coherence differ from what would occur in the absence of that closure. Such altered effectiveness is an attribute of the system as a whole, and would have consequences. This indicates that the network of processes, as a unit, has ontological significance. The closed network of processes, together with the conditions that prevail, constitute the form of definiteness of the coherence. That form continues to obtain as long as the coherence persists. Constituents contribute to, rather than share, that characteristic. Aspects of some recent research in systems biology, microeconomics, and social psychology illustrate the application of PSR.
