In this formation, carefully selected 3 measured stratigraphic sections, which are predominantly represented by lithologies of hard travertine limestones with plant fragments and soft tuffaceous-clayey limestone, were studied and sampled for its ostracoda content. Examination and evaluation of the washed samples collected from these sections revealed both freshwater and brackish water ostracods. In this unit, 5 genera and 12 species of ostracoda, which are generally characteristic forms of the Ponto-Caspian basin, were identified and their taxonomies were established. In addition to ostracods, few micro mollusks, including 2 genera and 1 species of gastropoda and 1 species of pelecypod (poorlypreserved) were also found in the layers of recrystallized-like tuffaceous-clayey, hard limestone. In the sequence, the following genera and species of osracoda, gastropoda and a pelecypod were deteremined: Leptocythere (Amnicythere) cf. litiva Livental, Tyrrhenocythere bailovi (Suzin), Loxoconcha granulata Sars, L. cf. diligena Kulieva, L. agilis Ruggieri, Candona (Caspiocypris) araxica Freels, C. Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, 2012
Co-Authors: Guoyin Zheng, Hailiang Xin, Xiaofeng Zhai, Yuanhui Zhang, Changquan Ling
    Abstract:

The root of Actinidia Valvata dunn has been widely used in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), proved to be beneficial for a longer and better life in China. In present work, total saponin from root of Actinidia Valvata Dunn (TSAVD) was extracted, and its effects on hepatoma H22-based mouse in vivo were observed. Primarily transplanted hypodermal hepatoma H22-based mice were used to observe TSAVD effect on tumor growth. The microvessel density (MVD), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) are characterized factors of angiogenesis, which were compared between TSAVD-treated and control groups. Antimetastasis effect on experimental pulmonary metastasis hepatoma mice was also observed in the study. The results demonstrated that TSAVD can effectively inhibit HCC growth and metastasis in vivo, inhibit the formation of microvessel, downregulate expressions of VEGF and bFGF, and retrain angiogenesis of hepatoma 22 which could be one of the reasons.

  • dynamic changes of flavonoids in actinidia Valvata leaves at different growing stages measured by hplc ms ms
Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines, 2016
Co-Authors: D U Qiaohui, Qiaoyan Zhang, Ting Han, Yiping Jiang, Cheng Peng, Hailiang Xin
    Abstract:

Flavonoids are a large group of phenolic secondary metabolites havinga wide range of biochemical and pharmacological effects. Quantitative analysis of flavonoid profiles in the genus Actinidia, which has not been intensively conducted, is useful to a better understanding of the pattern and distribution of flavonoids. In the present work, a liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS) method was developed to profile the flavonoids, which was then used to determine the dynamic change of 17 biologically active flavonoids in the leaves of Actinidia Valvata at the main growing stages, including glucuronides and acylated di- and triglycosides of flavonoids. The contents of flavonoid triglycosides were significantly higher than other flavonoids. The highest concentrations of kaemperol glycosides were observed in June, while other flavonoids showed highest concentrations in October. On the other hand, the contents of four isorhamnetin glycosides were increased sharply in September to October. The flavonoid profiles seem to be related to temperature, UV-B, and water deficit. Further studies are required to examine the functions of flavonoids in the Actinidia Valvata and the underlying molecular mechanisms of actions.
