Study on the method for identifying the solid Waste Property of imported powder coating Waste
Environmental Pollution & Control, 2014Co-Authors: Hao YaqionAbstract:Based on more than 90 cases of solid Waste Property identification for import powder coating materials,this paper systematically introduced the declaration name,types and proportion of these import powder coating materials.The characteristics of different type powder coating materials as well as the critical methods for identifying their solid Waste Property were discussed.Results showed that the main declaration name was powder coating,which contributed 46.3% of total imported powder coating materials.The identification results showed that 41.8% of import powder coating was expired or unqualified.This paper would provide technical reference for supervising and identifying the solid Waste Property of import powder coating materials,which had great significant for preventing the import of non-renewable powder coating solid Waste.

Civil and environmental research, 2014Co-Authors: Adeniran Ayo A, S A OlofaAbstract:This paper seeks to assess the implication of the dangers posed by haphazard disposal of solid Waste on the built environment cum Property values by examining its impact on the inhabitants, the building structures as well as the neighborhood with particular reference to Ado Ekiti Nigeria. A review of literature which is hinged on the framework of healthy city concept is used as a standard for quality. Closed and open ended questions were administered on randomly sampled 298 residents of Ado Ekiti randomly and analyzed using simple descriptive analysis. Findings show that values of buildings as well as the physiological well-being of individuals cannot be considered in isolation without considering the building and the environment in which they live vis a vis their Waste disposal methods. The study recommends rigorous public enlightenment, re introduction of hygiene studies from primary education, enforcement of environmental and Waste disposal protection laws with corresponding policy statements to help achieve the Healthy City Concept of the United Nations. (OII) Superfund site landfill significantly advanced the state of the art for solid Waste landfill engineering. Contributions to solid Waste landfill engineering from the OII predesign geotechnical investigation include a solid Waste classification system, a method for in situ measurement of Waste unit weight, an enhanced understanding of the mechanical properties of solid Waste, including unit weight, compressibility, shear strength, shear wave velocity, and equivalent linear shear modulus and equivalent viscous damping, and a methodology for seismic stability and deformation analysis of the Waste mass. Many of the procedures and Waste Property relationships developed for the OII predesign geotechnical investigation remain the state of practice today for solid Waste landfill engineering.

Reactive Transport Modeling Approach and its Initial Saltcake Dilution Chemical Modeling
2002Co-Authors: Yasuo OnishiAbstract:During Waste retrieval, chemical reactions, Waste Property changes, and Waste movements/mixing interact. Thus,to be accurate, a Waste process assessment methodology must account for these physical and chemical Waste characteristics and mechanisms. This study provides suggestions for column tests and simulation modeling efforts to investigate saltwell pumping of Hanford Tank S-112. In addition, GMIN chemical modeling was initiated for S-112 saltcake dilution with 50% and 100% water as the first step of evaluating the feasibility of the reactive transport code ARIEL as a Waste retrieval assessment methodology. The chemical modeling predicted the S-112 saltcake chemistry reasonably well. Although it is too early to conclude the usefulness of this reactive transport modeling approach, it is worth further evaluating its applicability to the Waste retrieval process.
