  • oxyfunctionalization of alkanes based on a tricobalt ii substituted dawson type rhenium Carbonyl Derivative as catalyst
    Inorganic Chemistry, 2020
Co-Authors: Ping Wang, Jingyang Niu, Jiage Jia, Zhihao Liu, Changhui Xin, Siyu Wang, Jingping Wang
    Abstract:

POM-supported metal Carbonyl Derivatives (PMCDs) represent a family of tremendous potential catalysts owing to their peculiar physical and chemical properties. Yet low-valence transition metal-substituted Dawson-type PMCD catalysts are uncommon. Hence, we synthesized a tricobalt-substituted PMCDs by conventional aqueous solution method, [Na(H2O)5](NH4)7[P2W15O56Co3(H2O)3(OH)3Re(CO)3]·13H2O (1), and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction crystallography, IR, and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA), etc. The obtained compound 1 was employed as a catalyst for the oxidation of diphenylmethane (DPM) to benzophenone, giving 96.8% yield in the presence of tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) and pyridine. The control experiments indicate that Co metal ion plays an important role in the catalytic reactions. As a side note, the electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and UV spectroscopy showed that 1 can retain its integrity in solution, and magnetic measurements indicated that 1 exhibited a weaker ferromagnetic interaction at low temperature.

  • a new phosphotungstate supported rhenium Carbonyl Derivative synthesis characterization and catalytic selective oxidation of thiophenes
    CrystEngComm, 2019
Co-Authors: Junwei Feng, Jingyang Niu, Ping Wang, Jiage Jia, Jingping Wang
    Abstract:

A monomeric phosphotungstate-supported rhenium Carbonyl Derivative, [N(CH3)4]6H4[P2W17O62{Re(CO)3}2]·25H2O (1), has been synthesized in a conventional solution system and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction crystallography, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric (TG) analyses, X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). To our knowledge, this is the first time that the {Re2} fragment existing in the polyoxoanion has been observed in polyoxometalate-supported metal Carbonyl Derivatives. Moreover, UV-vis spectroscopy was employed to elucidate the stability of the polyoxoanion, and its electrochemical properties were also investigated. In particular, complex 1 could act as an efficient homogeneous catalyst for selective oxidation of thiophenes. For example, dibenzothiophene (DBT) undergoes up to 99% conversion and 99% sulfone selectivity in acetonitrile with 30% H2O2 as an oxidant.

  • synthesis characterization and catalytic epoxidation properties of a new tellurotungstate iv supported rhenium Carbonyl Derivative
    Dalton Transactions, 2019
Co-Authors: Ping Wang, Jingyang Niu, Junwei Feng, Jingping Wang
    Abstract:

A monomeric tellurotungstate(IV)-supported rhenium Carbonyl Derivative: Na2H2[(CH3)4N]6[Te2W20O70{Re(CO)3}2]·20H2O (1) has been successfully isolated and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction crystallography, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, etc. In particular, complex 1 could act as a efficient and reusable heterogeneous catalyst for selective epoxidation of various alkenes including different cycloalkenes, styrene Derivatives, internal and long-chain alkenes. For example, cis-cyclooctene undergoes up to 98.2% conversion and >99% selectivity at 75 °C in acetonitrile with 30% H2O2 as an oxidant. Additionally, the electrocatalytic property of 1 for NO2− reduction was also investigated.

  • an isotetramolybdate supported rhenium Carbonyl Derivative synthesis characterization and use as a catalyst for sulfoxidation
    Dalton Transactions, 2018
Co-Authors: Vikram Singh, Yujiao Zhang, Chao Zhang, Jingyang Niu, Jingping Wang
    Abstract:

A novel isotetramolybdate-supported rhenium Carbonyl Derivative, [(CH3)4N]4[{Re(CO)3}4(Mo4O16)]·H2O (1), has been successfully synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction crystallography, IR and UV spectroscopy, etc. Results showed that, compound 1 is an efficient catalyst for the oxidation of thioanisole into the corresponding sulfoxide in the presence of hydrogen peroxide with good to excellent conversion (99%) and excellent selectivity (93%). Highly efficient oxygenation of thioanisole can also be achieved with 100% selectivity of sulfone and >99% conversion. Furthermore, optimized conditions were applied to a range of sulfides to obtain the corresponding sulfoxides and sulfones.

  • isopentatungstate supported metal Carbonyl Derivative synthesis characterization and catalytic properties for alkene epoxidation
    Dalton Transactions, 2016
Co-Authors: Jie Li, Dongdi Zhang, Jingping Wang
    Abstract:

A novel isopentatungstate-supported metal Carbonyl Derivative KH[(CH3)4N]3{[Re(CO)3]4[(μ2-OH)(μ3-O)(W5O18)]}·6H2O (1) has been synthesized and characterized. Compound 1 represents the second example of isopolyoxotungstate-supported metal Carbonyl Derivative. The catalysis of 1 for alkene epoxidation with H2O2 was investigated, and was found to efficiently catalyze the epoxidation of cyclooctene with high conversion (98.9%) and excellent selectivity (99%). Furthermore, the solution behavior of the polyanion 1 was also explored using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.

  • a rhenium tris Carbonyl Derivative as a model molecule for incorporation into phospholipid assemblies for skin applications
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2015
Co-Authors: Estibalitz Fernandez, Sylvain Clede, Francois Lambert, Christophe Sandt, Gelen Rodriguez, Sarah Hostachy, M Cocera, Alfonso De La Maza, Clotilde Policar, O Lopez
    Abstract:

A rhenium tris-Carbonyl Derivative (fac-[Re(CO)(3)Cl(2-(1-dodecyl-1H-1,2,3,triazol-4-yl)-pyridine)]) was incorporated into phospholipid assemblies, called bicosomes, and the penetration of this molecule into skin was monitored using Fourier-transform infrared microspectroscopy (FTIR). To evaluate the capacity of bicosomes to promote the penetration of this Derivative, the skin penetration of the Re(CO)(3) Derivative dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), a typical enhancer, was also studied. Dynamic light scattering results (DLS) showed an increase in the size of the bicosomes with the incorporation of the Re(CO)(3) Derivative, and the FTIR microspectroscopy showed that the Re(CO)(3) Derivative incorporated in bicosomes penetrated deeper into the skin than when dissolved in DMSO. When this molecule was applied on the skin using the bicosomes, 60% of the Re(CO)(3) Derivative was retained in the stratum corneum (SC) and 40% reached the epidermis (Epi). Otherwise, the application of this molecule via DMSO resulted in 95% of the Re(CO)(3) Derivative being in the SC and only 5% reaching the Epi. Using a Re(CO)(3) Derivative with a dodecyl-chain as a model molecule, it was possible to determine the distribution of molecules with similar physicochemical characteristics in the skin using bicosomes. This fact makes these nanostructures promising vehicles for the application of lipophilic molecules inside the skin.

  • a rhenium tris Carbonyl Derivative as a single core multimodal probe for imaging scompi combining infrared and luminescent properties
    Chemical Communications, 2012
Co-Authors: Sylvain Clede, Francois Lambert, Christophe Sandt, Zoher Gueroui
    Abstract:

A rhenium tris-Carbonyl Derivative has been designed to couple infrared and luminescent detection in cells. Both spectroscopies are consistent with one another; they point out the reliability of the present SCoMPI (for Single Core Multimodal Probe for Imaging) for bimodal imaging and unambiguously indicate a localization at the Golgi apparatus in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells.
