  • treatment experiment of swine Eperythrozoonosis
Journal of Anhui Agricultural Sciences, 2011
    Co-Authors: Wan Chunyun
    Abstract:

[Objective] To investigate the main features of swine Eperythrozoonosis and treatment and provide a reference for prevention and control of swine Eperythrozoonosis.[Method] All the swine were divided into three experimental groups and one control group,30 head/group.Microscopic examination of red blood cells, bilirubin metabolism test and diminazene and doxycycline treatment were performed, successively.[Result] The red blood cells of affected swine were around the spiny or irregular shapes, and showed irregular movement Free live Eperythrozoon could be seen in the plasma. After treatment, free Eperythrozoon disappear.TBIL and IBIL of affected swine significantly increased after treatment, the treatment group and control group were significantly different(P0.05),and TBIL of diminazene group were significantly different with that of doxycycline group(P0.05).Meanwhile,the IBIL reduced to the normal range(3.51 μmol/L) in doxycycline group.[Conclusion] Swine Eperythrozoonosis can cause IBIL significantly higher.Doxycycline and diminazene have a better therapeutic effect.

  • prevalence of eperythrozoon spp infection and congenital Eperythrozoonosis in humans in inner mongolia china
    Epidemiology and Infection, 2000
    Co-Authors: Dianxiang Yang
    Abstract:

Eperythrozoon is an obligate parasitic bacteria found in many species of animals. A large scale investigation of the prevalence of Eperythrozoon spp. in humans, was conducted in a developing country using light, electron microscope and animal inoculation. Samples were collected in undeveloped areas of Inner Mongolia in China over a 2-year period of 1994-6. Of the 1529 investigated samples, 35.3% were found to be Eperythrozoon spp. positive. The prevalence of infection was associated with occupation and seasonal variations. The infections were mainly mild, in 89.6% of cases (excluding pregnant women and their children). Of 74 pregnant women tested in the areas of high prevalence, 44 were confirmed Eperythrozoon spp. positive. Similarly, eperythrozoa were found in all 44 umbilical cords tested and in the neonatal peripheral blood samples taken at birth. These data suggest that eperythrozoa can be transmitted via the placenta.

  • study on the epidemics and control measures of Eperythrozoonosis in swine
Journal of Anhui Agricultural Sciences, 2007
    Co-Authors: Huang Xuefei
    Abstract:

The objective of this study is to reduce economic losses caused by Eperythrozoonosis in Swine to animal production. This study has studied the epidemiological characters, clinic symptoms, differential diagnosis, control measures, etc.of Eperythrozoonosis in swine. This disease is an infectious disease and can achieve good control results by adopting comprehensive control measures. This paper has provided certain basis for the control of Eperythrozoonosis in swine.

  • diagnosis and treatment of porcine Eperythrozoonosis complicated with toxoplasmosis
Journal of Anhui Agricultural Sciences, 2012
    Co-Authors: Y U Junkai
    Abstract:

[Objective] The research aimed to diagnose the cause of pig disease in a pig farm in Yanbian Prefecture of Jilin Province.[Method] The clinical symptoms and pathological changes of diseased pigs were observed. The pathogenic detection and antibody detection were conducted on the blood samples.DNA was extracted from the tissues and blood of diseased pigs to make molecular biology detection by PCR method.[Result] According to the clinical symptoms, pathological changes and the results of laboratory detection,it was confirmed that the mixed infection of porcine Eperythrozoonosis with toxoplasmosis in this pig farm.Xuehuping and Sufuxin were mixed to add in the feed, eperythrozoon injection was administrated by intramuscular injection by the ways of integrating traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.Better treatment effects were achieved.[Conclusion] The research could provide basis for the diagnosis and treatment of similar diseases in pig farm.
