Cretaceous Research, 2020Co-Authors: Zhi-teng Chen, Bo WangAbstract:Abstract Two new stoneflies, Starkoperla longusocollum gen. et sp. nov. and Zwickoperla brevicauda gen. et sp. nov. are described and illustrated based on two well-preserved females in mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber. The two genera are new extinct members of Perlidae and exhibit distinctive external characters when compared with both extant and extinct perlids. Morphological comparisons have been made between the new taxa and similar taxa.

Zootaxa, 2018Co-Authors: Zhi-teng ChenAbstract:Two new species of the fossil stonefly genus Largusoperla (Plecoptera: Perlidae), Largusoperla dewalti sp. nov. and Largusoperla borisi sp. nov. are described and illustrated from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber. The two new species are distinguished from other known congeners by the specifically modified paraprocts. In addition, an identification key to the known species of Largusoperla is provided.

Pinguisoperla, a New Fossil Genus of Perlidae (Insecta: Plecoptera) From mid-Cretaceous Burmese Amber
Zootaxa, 2018Co-Authors: Zhi-teng ChenAbstract:A new fossil stonefly genus and species of the family Perlidae, Pinguisoperla yangzhouensis gen. et sp. nov. , is proposed as the second known genus from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber. The new genus is characterized by its dark coloration and the basally enlarged and curved cerci. Morphological characters of the new genus and species are described, illustrated, and compared with related taxa.
