2019 IEEE Sciences and Humanities International Research Conference (SHIRCON), 2019
    Co-Authors: Ivan Iraola-real, Milton Gonzales-macavilca
    Abstract:

The present investigation has for an object to identify the Predictive Relation between the intimidator style motivational of the teachers with the basic needs psychological (competence, Relation and autonomy) in the students of the initial education career of a Peruvian private university. The sample was 56 students (women = 100%). The sample were between the 18 to 34 years old (MeanAge $=22.36, SD=3.938)$ . The results showed, the intimidator style motivational negatively predict the Relation need $(\beta= -. 38,\ p and negatively predicted the autonomy need $(\beta=-.48,\ p . Then competence need predicts Relation need $(\beta=.57,\ p and predicted autonomy need $(\beta=.59,\ p . And finally, Relation need predicted autonomy need $(\beta=.23,p .

  • Exploratory Study of the Teaching Self-Efficacy and its Factors Associated in a Students' Sample of the Elementary Education Career
2019 IEEE Sciences and Humanities International Research Conference (SHIRCON), 2019
    Co-Authors: Lizeth Nolberto-quispe, Jindel Bravo-cunza, Casiano Blas-atencia, Ivan Iraola-real
    Abstract:

The purpose of the present study was to analyze the Predictive Relation between the diverse dimensions of the teaching self-efficacy in a students' sample of a university deprived of Lima - Peru. The participants were 80 students (11 men (13.8 %) and 69 women (86.3 %) between 19 to 55 years of age (Mage = 26.70, SD=8.00), 61 (76.3%) were of capital city and 16 (20.0%) were of province. The results demonstrated that a major level of teaching self-efficacy exists in students who come from provinces. Then the analysis of multiple linear regressions demonstrated that: the self-efficacy to teach predicts the self-efficacy for the parents' participation , to manage discipline , to ensure the community participation , to influence decision making , and to achieve an optimum school climate.

  • Predictive Relations of tropical forest biomass from landsat tm data and their transferability between regions
    Remote Sensing of Environment, 2003
    Co-Authors: Giles M Foody, Doreen S Boyd, M E J Cutler
    Abstract:

The full realization of the potential of remote sensing as a source of environmental information requires an ability to generalize in space and time. Here, the ability to generalize in space was investigated through an analysis of the transferability of Predictive Relations for the estimation of tropical forest biomass from Landsat TM data between sites in Brazil, Malaysia and Thailand. The data sets for each test site were acquired and processed in a similar fashion to facilitate the analyses. Three types of Predictive Relation, based on vegetation indices, multiple regression and feedforward neural networks, were developed for biomass estimation at each site. For each site, the strongest Relationships between the biomass predicted and that measured from field survey was obtained with a neural network developed specifically for the site (r>0.71, significant at the 99% level of confidence). However, with each type of approach problems in transferring a Relation to another site were observed. In particular, it was apparent that the accuracy of prediction, as indicated by the corRelation coefficient between predicted and measured biomass, declined when a Relation was transferred to a site other than that upon which it was developed. Part of this problem lies with the observed variation in the relative contribution of the different spectral wavebands to Predictive Relations for biomass estimation between sites. It was, for example, apparent that the spectral composition of the vegetation indices most strongly related to biomass differed greatly between the sites. Consequently, the Relationship between predicted and measured biomass derived from vegetation indices differed markedly in both strength and direction between sites. Although the incorporation of test site location information into an analysis resulted in an increase in the strength of the Relationship between predicted and actual biomass, considerable further research is required on the problems associated with transferring Predictive Relations.

  • Another way of thinking about ADHD: the Predictive role of early attachment deprivation in adolescents’ level of symptoms
Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology, 2014
Co-Authors: Isabelle Roskam, R. Tessier, M. J. Escobar, M. P. Santelices, F. Juffer, Andrada Muntean, Marie Stievenart, Marinus H Van Ijzendoorn, B. Pierrehumbert
    Abstract:

PurposeAttention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most frequent disorders in childhood and adolescence. Both neurocognitive and environmental factors have been related to ADHD. The current study contributes to the documentation of the Predictive Relation between early attachment deprivation and ADHD.MethodData were collected from 641 adopted adolescents (53.2 % girls) aged 11–16 years in five countries, using the DSM oriented scale for ADHD of the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) (Achenbach and Rescorla, Manual for the ASEBA school-age forms and profiles. University of Vermont, Research Center for Children, Youth and Families, Burlington, 2001 ). The influence of attachment deprivation on ADHD symptoms was initially tested taking into consideration several key variables that have been reported as influencing ADHD at the adoptee level (age, gender, length of time in the adoptive family, parents’ educational level and marital status), and at the level of the country of origin and country of adoption (poverty, quality of health services and values). The analyses were computed using the multilevel modeling technique.ResultsThe results showed that an increase in the level of ADHD symptoms was predicted by the duration of exposure to early attachment deprivation, estimated from the age of adoption, after controlling for the influence of adoptee and country variables. The effect of the age of adoption was also demonstrated to be specific to the level of ADHD symptoms in comparison to both the externalizing and internalizing behavior scales of the CBCL.ConclusionDeprivation of stable and sensitive care in infancy may have long-lasting consequences for children’s development.

  • attachment and behavior problems in middle childhood as reported by adult and child informants
    Development and Psychopathology, 2006
Co-Authors: Ellen Moss, Nicole Smolla, Karine Duboiscomtois, Tania Mazzarello, Claude Berthiaume
    Abstract:

The Predictive Relation between attachment and mother, teacher, and self-reported psychopathology was examined for a diverse socioeconomic status French Canadian sample of 96 children. Attachment classifications were assigned on the basis of reunion behavior with mother when the children were approximately 6 years old, and child problem behavior was assessed 2 years later using the Child Behavior Checklist ~mother report!, the Social Behavior Questionaire ~teacher report!, and the Dominic Questionnaire ~child self-report!. Results indicated that both insecure0ambivalent and insecure0controlling children children were rated higher than secure children on a composite measure of externalizing problems. Concerning internalizing problems, only the controlling group was significantly higher on both a composite adult ~teacher and mother! and self-report measure of internalizing problems. Analyses of clinical cutoff scores showed that only the controlling group had a significantly greater likelihood of overall problem behavior than other children.
