    Abstract:

    Abstract The effective estimation of costs is crucial to the success of construction projects. Cost estimates are used to evaluate, approve and/or fund projects. Organizations use some form of classification system to identify the various types of estimates that may be prepared during the lifecycle of a project. This research presents a parametric-cost model for Pump Station projects. Fourteen factors have been identified as important to the influence of the cost of Pump Station projects. A data set that consists of forty-four Pump Station projects (fifteen water and twenty-nine waste water) are collected to build a Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) library and to test its performance. The results obtained from the CBR tool are processed and adopted to improve the accuracy of the results. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the development of the effectiveness of the tool.

    A kind of vertical sewage Pump is used as upgrade Pump in some sewage treatment plants.Because the actual set lift is a little lower,the efficiency is less than that of design.Therefore,instead of primary vertical sewage Pump,axial Pump is used as dry-type Pump in sewage Pump Station.The sewage Pump Station of a sewage treatment plant is reformed.After the reform,the performances and economic benefits are greatly improved.The results of the technical reform are of references for the design and reform of similar projects.

    The automatic control system of Pump Station taking PLC as the core, has improved the comprehensive automation level of the Pump Station greatly. The paper has introduced application in the automatic control system of Pump Station of FX2N serial programmable controllers (PLC) of Japanese Mitsubishi Company mainly. Such problems as communication problems of the location paying machine (IFIX) and the next machine (PLC), and how small-scale PLC of many FX2N series gather the data, the data interchange and communication and so on. Besides this, system forming and systematic function of the Pump Station of control system are provided.
